What kept keeps, and what it does not

What goes into your jar, and what never does.

Last updated: August 2, 2026

kept captures your work knowledge into an evidence-backed record called your jar: how you do things, the exceptions you have learned, the ways things fail, the judgment you apply, and the people involved. It captures that by interviewing you, not by watching you.

Nothing is captured until you turn capture consent on yourself.

kept does not capture:

  • Credentials or passwords, ever.
  • Personal information that is not part of your work.
  • Anything at all while capture consent is off.

Your employer never receives a score, a ranking, or a judgment of your work. The only thing about you they see is a red, amber, or green band for how much you have captured so far.
